Imose’s foray into the Nigerian market began with the launch of the IM-10 desktop GSM phone. In an era when mobile phones were already central to everyday life in Nigeria, the chairman and founder of Imose Technologies identified a gap in the market. Parents wanted to be able to reach their children, who were too young to own mobile phones, while at work. The solution was the IM-10 desktop phone with a SIM slot compatible with all mobile networks. It was a hit!

Since then, Imose has continued to manufacture devices tailored to the Nigerian consumer – from Swag feature phones with long-lasting batteries to universal MiFis and routers. Its tablet line includes Omotab, the leading children’s educational tablet in Nigeria, the X3 tablet featuring a detachable keyboard for young learners, and the Opor tablet for professionals. Imose also offers Sempe and BAM smartphones, and the Zedon X-Pro laptop series. Today, Imose is present in the homes and offices of many Nigerians.

In 2023, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) issued a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) license to Imose. This marked a major milestone in Imose’s journey towards fulfilling its founder’s vision.

Imose Mobile is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap in unserved and underserved areas by offering contract plans, including mobile devices bundled with airtime and data. This marks a first in Nigeria, offering beauty in every connection between parents and children, businesses and customers, students and tutors, and among communities with shared interests.

In March, 2026 Imose’s decade-long dream became a reality when the first call was made on its network, signifying the beginning of commercial operations.
